Power in My Hands received yet another honor at this year’s XXXIV International Catholic Film and Multimedia “KSF Niepokalana 2019” Film Festival in Warsaw, Poland. Power in My Hands earned second place in the category of Marian Films. It is quite an accomplishment for Power in My Hands to be recognized among the many entries received by this festival from all over the world.

In addition to the 2nd place award at the International Catholic Film Festival, Power in My Hands has been the recipient of both the Vatican II Award for Service in Communication and the Catholic Press Association Gabriel Award in the category of Special or Documentary 60 Minutes or Longer. The film is also endorsed by thirteen bishops and has received accolades from many prominent media outlets.

The film began as an inspiration to Dick and Terry Boldin and now Power In My Hands has premiered in theaters across the world, broadcasted on five television networks, shown in numerous dioceses and parishes, and, most importantly, inspired millions to pray the Holy Rosary to encounter Jesus Christ. Power In My Hands is currently available on both DVD and Blu-ray. Showings of the film are also available for dioceses, parishes, and organizations.

On Tuesday, October 8, 2019, Milwaukee’s Archbishop Jerome Listecki honored Dick and Terry Boldin for their work by giving them the Vatican II Award for Service in Communication. The Vatican II awards were established in Milwaukee in 1991 to honor men, women, and young adults who exemplify the Catholic Church’s vision set forth in the Second Vatican Council.

The Boldin’s founded the Rosary Evangelization Apostolate on January 31, 2003, and have been diligently working to help bring peace to the world by fostering the prayers of the rosary and family values. The Apostolate is based in Milwaukee, WI and organizes special events, conferences, and initiatives in Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin and beyond.

Dick and Terry had the inspiration for a feature-length film with a modern, yet truthful message that would transmit the hope, mercy, compassion, and love that comes through praying the rosary. After two and a half years of production, Power In My Hands premiered in Milwaukee in April of 2018.  The film has spread across America and in other countries. Since then Power In My Hands has been making a powerful impact on all those who have the opportunity to see it.

After receiving the award, Mr. Boldin shared “Working on this film project has truly helped us to encounter Christ deeper and to a greater sense that there is hope amidst the spiritual crisis of this age. This has brought us to an ever greater realization of the need to bring Christ to others in this age when there are little signs of hope, mercy, compassion, and love for the dignity of the human person.  Individuals and families, regardless of their station in life have a spiritual hunger which needs to be filled with the love of Christ through Our Lady. We need to bring hope to others and that is the core message for the film Power In My Hands.”

The Rosary Evangelization Apostolate received a prestigious 2019 Gabriel Award on June 20, 2019, at the Catholic Media Conference in St. Petersburg, Florida. Since 1965, the Catholic Press Association has given Gabriel Awards to honor excellence in film, broadcast, and cross-platform media productions. The Rosary Evangelization Apostolate received a Gabriel Award in the category of Special or Documentary 60 Minutes or Longer for the production of Power In My Hands.

Power In My Hands is a 81-minute film featuring a thirteen-member all-star cast. The revolutionary film tells stories of hope, demonstrates the power of prayer, and conveys the need for the rosary in today’s world. After over two and a half years in production, the World Premiere of Power In My Hands took place on April 12, 2018, in Milwaukee at the beautiful Miller High Life Theatre. Premieres in other major cities followed. Power In My Hands was screened at the 2018 November (USCCB) United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in Baltimore with 50 Bishops attending.

Power In My Hands has been endorsed by thirteen Bishops and warmly and gratefully received by others. Daniel Cardinal DiNardo encouraged people to see Power In My Hands, saying, “I am very pleased to wholeheartedly endorse Power In My Hands, a beautiful and captivating film which powerfully reminds us of the Blessed Virgin’s ever-present maternal help in the midst of so much spiritual turmoil in our culture today.”

Power In My Hands has been seen by millions on four television networks and is now being distributed on both DVD and Blu-ray. The Apostolate is encouraging dioceses, parishes, organizations, and individuals to arrange to have showings of the film. Hundreds of such showings have taken place thus far across America.

The Rosary Evangelization Apostolate was founded in 2003 by Dick and Terry Boldin with the approval of the Most Rev. Timothy Dolan who served as Episcopal Advisor until 2009, when he was installed as Archbishop of New York. Most Rev. William Callahan OFM Conv then served as Interim Episcopal Advisor until Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki of Milwaukee became Episcopal Advisor in January of 2010.

The mission of the Apostolate is to help the faithful encounter Jesus Christ through Our Lady and her rosary. The Rosary Evangelization Apostolate has organized and sponsored many events and initiatives both locally and nationally. The production of Power In My Hands has been one of their most successful endeavors.

The following article was written by Becky Roach at Catholic Exchange

“It’s stories like Nancy Salerno’s that truly convict people of the power of the rosary. Nancy shares about the grief she felt as a young mother when she lost one of the twins she was carrying and the other was born with cerebral palsy. Struggling to deal with the pain of her loss while raising her three young children and caring for a newborn baby in need of medical attention, Nancy was led to the Holy Rosary. Nancy exudes peace and joy throughout the film. The kind of peace and joy that surpases all understanding and is very appealing for those facing trials of their own.”
